Odense Almond Paste
Odense Almond Paste is manufactured in Denmark, using the finest California almonds that have been blanched, mixed with sugar, and rolled through Italian millstones. Adding the delicate flavor of almonds can make an ordinary recipe extraordinary.
Double Chocolate Chip Almond Cookies

15 minutes to assemble
12 -14 minutes to bake per tray
1 large egg
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1-7oz box Odense Almond Paste, divided and grated
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch salt
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
2/3 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped almonds
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour cookie sheet or line with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl beat egg, sugar, butter and 1/2 of grated Almond Paste until light and fluffy.
- Sift flour, baking soda and salt together.
- Combine almond mixture, flour mixture, syrup, chips, almonds and remaining half of grated almond paste. Mix until incorporated.
- Drop dough by tablespoons* onto cookie sheets. Bake 12-14 minutes or until cookie bottoms are lightly browned.
