Double Chocolate Chip Almond Cookies
Odense Almond Paste adds extra flavor to this delicious chocolate cookie.

15 minutes to assemble
12 -14 minutes to bake per tray

INGREDIENTS

1 large egg 
1/2 cup sugar 
1/2 cup butter, room temperature 
1-7oz box Odense Almond Paste, divided and grated 
1 1/4 cups flour 
1/2 teaspoon baking soda 
Pinch salt
1/4 cup chocolate syrup 
2/3 cup chocolate chips 
1 cup chopped almonds

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour cookie sheet or line with parchment paper. 
  2. In a mixing bowl beat egg, sugar, butter and 1/2 of grated Almond Paste until light and fluffy. 
  3. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. 
  4. Combine almond mixture, flour mixture, syrup, chips, almonds and remaining half of grated almond paste. Mix until incorporated. 
  5. Drop dough by tablespoons* onto cookie sheets. Bake 12-14 minutes or until cookie bottoms are lightly browned.
* A one tablespoon cookie scoop makes quick work of this step.
